Let’s hear three #CheersforVolunteers! Students from North Bullitt High School came to sort supplies and learn about the steps we take to reduce medical waste filling landfills and the global impact that can be made with the surplus equipment from our hospitals!
SOS would like to welcome our newest board member, Troy McCullum, President of Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering at UPS. Thank you to Troy and his UPS team for the #volunteerism!
#happymonday! Let's hear it for this incredible group from North Bullitt High School who volunteered at SOS last week. Their teachers receive supplies from SOS for hands-on training and medical education classes, and they wanted their students to see our process and where the supplies come from. They were especially happy to hear these learning tools were saved from landfills.
Often, our first spark of inspiration or interest in a topic comes from a teacher. 🍎
We want to recognize teachers for all their work and especially thank those who introduce young minds to the concept of #GlobalCitizenship and the possibility of pursuing a medical pathway. SOS is proud to support teachers and help cultivate the next generation of global citizens and healthcare leaders!
This #WhyWednesday featuring dedicated SOS volunteer Chris Maddox really hits home. Thank you Spectrum News 1 Kentucky for capturing this story during our free Wheelchair and Repair clinic at VOCAL-Kentucky, a project made possible through a Quality of Life grant from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
Let's hear it for Chris and for all of our #mobilty repair volunteers who selflessly give their time and talents to improve the lives of those in need in our community. You are truly an example #globalcitizenship, and we are honored to have you on our team! ... See MoreSee Less

Every day is #EarthDay at SOS! A big part of our work to impact global health involves re-routing surplus medical equipment and supplies from landfills to the hands of those who use it to save lives.
