CALL FOR DONATIONS!! The daughter of a woman who recently had a stroke and is experiencing right side paralysis reached out to SOS. Although her acute hospital stay insurance coverage has run out, she can't be released until she has adequate medical equipment at home including a hospital bed, Hoyer lift and sling, and medical recliner chair. SOS is donating these items but we need to cover the cost of labor and delivery as she lives outside of the Louisville area. Will you chip in to help us reach our goal of $600?? soshealthandhope.org/donate/... See MoreSee Less

To honor Women's History Month, we are highlighting stories that show our passion for improving the lives of women around the world. These photos came from Papua New Guinea. Prior to this picture where young mother Grace is feeding her baby, she had lost two babies, one to malnutrition and the other to complications of Down’s Syndrome. With her third baby, Elvis, she came regularly to the clinic for baby formula and learned how to meticulously clean her bottles, boil the water and correctly prepare the formula. Her face showed the relief and joy to see her baby growing and developing properly. Her son is now over a year old and thriving!
The second picture shows a successful birth in their village. This little one is being washed and dressed before the mother is discharged. Equipment and supplies provided by SOS helps make these safe births possible. ... See MoreSee Less
